Subject: Pointer types in specification citations

One aspect of the test regime configuration describes the methods to use
when citing Recommendations from the conformance documents.

Each method describes prefix, infix and suffix strings to build displayable
and possibly linkable citations to documents.

The XSLT/XPath configuration includes three pointer types:

(1) type="section"

     This is the human-legible form of a pointer, not meant to be
     linkable through machine methods. For example, when citing
     section "7.7 Numbering", the place attribute could be either
     place="7.7" or even place="7.7 Numbering". The resulting
     pointer becomes:

     Doc: http://www.w3.org/TR/1999/REC-xslt-19991116 Section: 7.7 Numbering

(2) type="XPointer"

     This is a machine-legible form for linking directly into XML
     source information. For example, if the place attribute were
     place="id(number)/ulist[2]/item[2]/p[1]/text()[1]", then the
     resulting pointer becomes:

     http://www.w3.org/TR/1999/REC-xpath-19991116.xml#xpointer(id(number)/ul
http://www.w3.org/TR/1999/REC-xpath-19991116.xml#xpointer(id(number)/ulist[2
]/item[2]/p[1]/text()[1])

(3) type="anchor"

     This is a machine-legible form for linking directly into HTML
     source information. For example, if the place attribute were
     place="number", then the resulting pointer becomes:

     http://www.w3.org/TR/1999/REC-xpath-19991116#number

Please let me know if you have any questions about these methods. Note
that the human-legible descriptions in the specification were incorrectly
configured as "ref-linkable" when they should not have been.

Thanks!
