Subject: [xslt-conformance] Re: FYI: CSS Test Suite Documentation
This was an interesting read, though not necessarily likely to affect us too much. They don't "support" (i.e., aid and abet) test automation, and I'm not sure how they deal with a "molecular" test that checks the interaction of two features from different sections of the spec. At a more general level, this document is a clear example of another concern in documenting test suites. The document about the test suite MUST state any requirements or constraints on the person acting as the tester. The CSS test suite evidently requires manual testing with a visual (conventional) browser by a person with certain visual faculties intact (must not be color-blind, etc.) and the ability to comprehend the written language (English?) of certain sentences that will appear on the screen. This is not to say that the WG violated W3C accessibility guidelines, only that the test suite itself is not fully accessible. .................David Marston
