Announcement from OASIS on HIMSS InterOp: HIMSS is placing the InterOp booth within their
Interoperability Showcase Area. This is the highest visibility area in
the conference. The cost for participating in the demonstration of XSPA
to support HP-20 has been reduced to $3,500 per participant. http://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/xspa/email/archives/200810/msg00019.html Deadline to sign up is November 17. OASIS is trying to
extend the deadline. 4. XSPA TC in the news: Several articles were discussed that described the OASIS
XSPA TC. 5. Current status of supporting OASIS profiles were
discussed. Both XACML and SAML profiles are in committee Draft. WS-Trust
TC seems not interested in extending their charter to cover the profile. Jamie
Clark had earlier suggested the XSPA TC consider taking it on. 6. Proposed use cases intended to demonstrate the
end-to-end XSPA profile. Use cases and an architectural model were introduced by
Duane. 7. Technical meetings of the TC. Interested parties meet every Monday to review the detailed
technical issues, problems, and solutions of demonstrating TP20. Next
meeting to discuss the possibility of using WS-Trust 8. Vocabularies in the International v. US realm XSPA
profiles. Comments on the list concerning the attributes and vocabularies we
should support for coarse grain v. fine grain authorizations have bee resolved. 9.
