XSPA Conference Call Minutes

1. Roll Call & Agenda Review

2. HHS Secretary’s recognition of the HITSP Interoperability Specifications

Mike Davis discussed the impact of the HHS Secretary’s recognition of the HITSP Interoperability Specifications. The January 21 announcement is significant for the TC, since the next version of TP20 will include the XSPA profiles.  Recognition of the HITSP work triggers certain legal obligations on Federal Agencies to use the selected standards, including TP20, in US Federal Health IT programs.

3.  Status of the WS-Trust for Healthcare document

Duane suggested that the XSPA Profile of WS-Trust for Healthcare be accepted by the TC as a committee Draft.  TC accepted the draft by unanimous consent.   Please review the committee draft and forward comments to the list:

4. HL7 Confidentiality codes

Duane uploaded the HL7 Confidentiality codes to allow us the ability to cite the codes from the profile.  The codes are at:

5. Report on the XACML and SAML supporting profiles.

Both supporting profiles still in public review phase.

 

6. Report on the Technical meetings

Anil reports the Red Hat XACML PDP is running and available for use.  Anil (Red Hat) and Greg (Jericho Systems) are loading London InterOp policies at endpoints.  Anil and Greg will work together on testing the XACML policies and report results to the Wiki.

 

7. WS-Trust update

Duane reports an update to the mock EHR GUI to test WS-Trust.

 

8.   Vendor components

Duane discusses a diagram useful in showing areas where vendors plan to participate in the XSPA exchange at HIMSS.

9.  Comments on the use cases

Discussion on the WS-Trust and SAML use cases.  TC will decide to accept at the next call.

 

10. Issues

Anil agrees to transfer the tracking of action items to the Kavi action item list.
