3. Review of the HIMSS demonstration of the XACML and SAML profiles of XSPA.  Open discussion on the experience.

The HIMSS successfully demonstrated the XSPA profile of XACML and the XSPA profile of SAML.  We added a use case that revealed an issue: i.e. where requestor had HL7 perms but not the expected ASTM role.  We need to update the policy to allow for this situation, e.g. when one organization only has nurses they should be able to access the data typically that the target enterprise expects doctors to access.

4.  XSPA Profile of SAML

Duane has additions to the XSPA Profile of SAML profile as to OIDs.  Overall the profile is solid.

5. Next steps and general comments.

Duane reports NHIN architect preferred XSPA over their current model.  NHIN architects will include the XACML and SAML profiles in the June release of connect NHIN at the adaptor level.  There is still some effort involved in providing the payload through the gateway to the receiving adaptor servicing request.  Target for release for that work is after June release but the plan is to use XSPA across the whole enterprise.

6.  No issues from Anil

Adjournment of the (Unofficial) meeting.
