2. Approval of the Minutes of May 8, 2009.

Minutes approved unanimously.

3. Proposal to meet Monthly

David introduced the proposal to meet monthly.  The initial decision to meet monthly was reversed to accommodate additional time to harmonize the comments Richard Franck with the XSPA profiles (below). The TC will continue to meet every two weeks.

4. Status of the XSPA profile of SAML:

The SAML TC decision to approve the XSPA Profile of SAML for a second shortened (15 day) public review was discussed.  Use of SNOMED CT for identifying object for which access control is required has been removed from the profile.  Using SNOMED CT to identify objects is inconsistent with SNOMED CT vocabulary, since it specifies actions.

5. Status of the XSPA profile of XACML:

The XACML TC decision to approve the XSPA Profile of XACML was discussed.  A vote will be called to move the profile to TC committee specification.

6. Outreach: OMG/HL7 SOA in Healthcare:

David discussed the OMG/HL7 SOA in Healthcare presentation of the HIMSS material.

7. Comments from Richard Franck

Richard Franck introduced the work of the NHIN Specifications Factory, and the Privacy sub-team that is addressing issues related to Access Consent Policy management and enforcement for the Nationwide Health Information Network.

Duane offered a design document from the NHIN Connect effort that has been adopting the XSPA profiles:

Some differences were immediately identified, such as the focus on supporting the HITSP TP20 model in the XSPA profiles.

The use of 35 role codes from SNOMED CT in Table 4 v. is smaller than the ASTM 1968 set in Table 2.

The larger set of values for POU in Table 5 (25 entries) v. the smaller number in the SAML profile (8).

Mike noted a larger set of roles spanning more than clinicians is preferred in the profile.  Mike also noted that a smaller set of values in purpose of use is preferred in the profiles.

The TC decided to review the materials submitted and discuss in the next meeting (6/19).

8. Issue list

David
