Subject: RE: three "statement of use" needed for XACML profile.
Colleagues Based on the last XSPA TC meeting, I am
resending the statement (below, in black) that can be used as a model for the “statement
of use” as required for balloting as a standard both
Please replace the square brackets in the
example with your information. The statement must comply with the OASIS
rule: · "Statement of Use",
with respect to a specification, is a written statement by an OASIS
Organizational Member stating that it is successfully using or implementing
that specification in accordance with the conformance clauses specified in Section 2.18,
and stating whether its use included the interoperation of multiple independent
implementations. Example: [COMPANY] is successfully using and/or implementing the [PROFILE NAME(S)] in
accordance with the conformance clauses specified therein and OASIS policy.
The implementation was successfully used in interoperation with other
independent implementations. [Name] If you used the profiles in the demo, then
you are qualified to state you used them in interoperation with other
independent implementations. Please send the note on the statement of
use to the XSPA TC list and include in the distribution either/both: the SSTC list (security-services@lists.oasis-open.org)
for the SAML profile the XACML list (xacml@lists.oasis-open.org) for
the XACML profile Thanks, David Staggs, JD, CISSP (SAIC) From: Staggs, David
(SAIC) All Please respond with your interest in submitting a statement
of use for the XSPA profile of XACML. A typical statement would look
like: [COMPANY] has successfully implemented the [PROFILE NAME(S)] in accordance with the
conformance clauses specified therein. The implementation was
successfully used in interoperation with other independent implementations. [Name] We need three statements, probably around the end of the
month. I will contact those willing once I have the final link to the
committee specification version. My early notification gives everyone a
chance to get consensus in the organization if need be. Thanks for your
support! Regards, David David Staggs, JD, CISSP
