Quorum attained (7/8).

2. Minutes of September 4 2009 were approved.

3. Status of the XSPA profiles was provided.  Voting starts October 16 and closes October 31.  David offered to identify organizational Voting Representative and answer any questions on the ballot materials.

4. The HITSP Security, Privacy, and Infrastructure TC requested an estimate on September 4 on the earliest date the profiles might become OASIS standards.  If the profiles pass this month, HITSP will be able to add them to the public comment period for this year’s potential standards for its yearly recommendation.

John Moehrke explained how the approval of the XSPA Profile of SAML and the XSPA Profile of XACML is required before the HITSP review.  The first step of the review will be a tier 2 review; if accepted the addition of the profiles will be sent for public review either in the November or December timeframe.

5. XSPA profile of WS-Trust is becoming a high priority.  Srinath Godavarthi has tentatively agreed to assist the TC on the WS-Trust document.  Srinath is a member of the WS-SX TC and will join the XSPA TC after getting approval from his new employer.

6. Additional discussion.

David Weitzel expressed concern that his company’s involvement in HITSP related activities may require them to abstain.   John Moehrke commented on the distinction on deciding to approve an OASIS based on technical analysis and any subsequent involvement in the review of standards in HITSP contracts.

David Weitzel expressed interest in privacy aspects of the XSPA profiles.  Any additional information on privacy can be sent to the XSPA list for additional discussion at a later meeting.

7. Action Items

No action items.

Next meeting scheduled for November 13, 2009.

Regards,

David
