Subject: Fwd: [oasis-member-discuss] Proposed Submission of OASIS XSPA Profiles for SAML & XACML to ITU
Our Liaison Policy requires that management act within 15 days of the end of the member comment period, to approve or reject properly-made proposals for submissions of OASIS Standards to other standards bodies. It also requires that we notify the proposers. I'm pleased to confirm that management approved your request that we submit the completed XSPA profiles to ITU-T, on the terms originally posted. .The publicly-viewable notice is below, and this is your notification. Our Liaison Policy rules require a cooling-off period in case anyone objects; Seems unlikely here. I am communicating with our Board about an option to speed that up a little. Still, with the posting of the notice below, for all practical purposes, the news is out. Cordially, JBC ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: James Bryce Clark <jamie.clark@oasis-open.org> Date: Tue, Apr 20, 2010 at 9:41 AM Subject: Re: [oasis-member-discuss] Proposed Submission of OASIS XSPA Profiles for SAML & XACML to ITU To: oasis-member-discuss <oasis-member-discuss@lists.oasis-open.org> Cc: Laurent Liscia <laurent.liscia@oasis-open.org>, Peter F Brown <peter@pensive.eu> Last month, the OASIS Cross-Enterprise Security and Privacy Authorization (XSPA) TC requested that OASIS send two OASIS Standards to the International Telecommunications Union, Telecommunication Standardization Sector (ITU-T), Study Group 17 on Security, for their further approval as ITU-T Recommendations. The submission has been approved, on the terms originally described in the proposal as posted. OASIS plans to confirm the transmission of the standards to ITU-T shortly, as provided by our policy. Respectfully, JBC ~ James Bryce Clark ~ General Counsel, OASIS
