OASIS Press Release announcing approval of the XSPA Profile of WS-Trust was
discussed. The release is expected shortly. 4.
XSPA Internationalization work An
update was given on the Internationalization work. Some progress has been made but we still
need to map he classes required from the HL7 domain analysis model (DAM) to
international standards for the gap analysis. The HL7 DAM classes are being
categorized and associated wit the three XSPA profiles. 5.
Creation of a test platform and reference model for XSPA Duane
gave an update on the reference model and an application to test XSPA
messages. Duane has agreed to hold
Monday and Wednesday meetings on the work and participation is encouraged. 6. General discussion a. Development of policy and PDP engines: Brynn Mow raised some questions on the development
of the PDP. Jericho Systems
Corporation has provided a set of policies and their PDP to the Nationwide
Health Information Network (NwHIN). b. BTG policy and XSPA: David Chadwick discussed the “break the glass”
(BTG) use case that was recently also discussed in the XACML TC meeting. There is some disagreement on the need
for an attribute signaling BTG. Dr. Chadwick also discussed an ontology server
from a University that could be helpful on the XSPA ontology work being done
with the XACML TC. David will be forwarding links to documents on this topic. c. Use of data tagging and segmentation: Mike brought up the use of data tagging and
segmentation as described in “Report to the President Realizing the Full Potential
of Health Information Technology to Improve Healthcare for Americans: The Path Forward,”
recently released in the US by the Executive Office of the President’s “President’s
