Integration of XMetaL and TEXTML Server provides seamless environment for
creating, managing and serving XML documents


Toronto, ON – November 7, 2000 – SoftQuad Software, Ltd. (OTC BB: SXML), an
internationally recognized developer of XML-enabling technologies, and
IXIASOFT, a leading provider of performance tools for XML-based document
management, today announced the integration of SoftQuad’s XMetaL® into
IXIASOFT’s TEXTML Server.  This integration allows customers to quickly
develop an integrated environment for creating, managing and serving XML
documents to the Web or other applications.

XMetaL is an advanced, yet easy to use XML content creation solution that

the two products allow users to open, create and save XML documents to a
document base while simultaneously indexing the content. TEXTML Server is a
Web-based server designed to store, index and search large volumes of XML
documents. It features advanced full text search capabilities for powerful
content retrieval and a proprietary indexing method that takes a document
centric approach to XML document management.
