Subject: Call for comments/contributions + other information
BIAS TC participants – Editors draft 0.2 of the BIAS messaging protocol and the
draft WSDL are posted on the documents page of the TC website. This is a
call for comments and contributions on these and associated documents, as
follows: 1) Call for
comments/contributions on the draft messaging protocol: http://www.oasis-open.org/committees/download.php/19881/bias-1%200-biasmp-ed-04.pdf.
In addition to a general review, the editor would like input on the
following (see separate email from Murty Gurajada): a. Namespace b. Error
handling/fault messages c. Port types
and alternate bindings d. Reliability
& security 2) Call for
comments on the draft WSDL: http://www.oasis-open.org/committees/download.php/20355/bias.wsdl.
3) Call for use
cases & comments on those that have been submitted. [Note – we expect
2 levels of use cases: a high/business level and (later) a
lower/technical level.] Submitted use cases are located in the email
archive. Charles Li will be providing a common template for these
shortly. Please provide comments and contributions by Wed, 18 October, so that editors can
incorporate your inputs in the next revisions which are to be posted on 25
October (1 week prior to the next meeting on 1 November). In addition, the latest version of the INCITS document is
posted for review and comment: http://www.oasis-open.org/committees/download.php/20161/m1060648.pdf.
Comments are due this Friday, 29
September to Matt Swayze (matt.swayze@daon.com).
NOTE: A comment template has been posted that should
be used for submitting comments against the documents. Contributions may
be submitted in any form (MS Word preferred at present time). The minutes of the 21 September meeting will be posted soon,
but one thing that was discussed was whether we should stick to the once/month
meeting schedule or go to a weekly/biweekly 1-hour telecom schedule. Please
provide your input on this. Lastly, the “Biometrics, XML, and Web services”
panel at the BCC2006 conference was interesting, with 6 presentations given. These
will be posted shortly at: http://www.biometrics.org/bc2006/program.htm
(go to Thursday, 21 September, 3rd track, green near bottom). Thanks
to Peter Roden from OASIS and Matt Swayze from Daon who spoke on our work. Regards, Cathy Tilton Chair |
