Subject: ISSUE: should the scale() method have a settable origin point
ISSUE: should the scale() method have a settable origin point References: [1] http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/cgmo-webcgm/200901/msg00055.html [2] http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/cgmo-webcgm/200901/msg00063.html Discussion: In threads [1], [2], it was concluded that it is a convenience, but not really necessary. And SVG omits it as well. (Which is relevant but not the determinant of this issue for WebCGM.) Ulrich reports [3], after working on transform tests, that his team *strongly* supports the addition of the parameter. [3] http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/cgmo-webcgm/200902/msg00032.html More opinions? Who wants it? Does anyone object? Is there any technical down side? Recommendation: Tentatively, "add scale origin point", pending further discussion. ### end ###
