[ciq] CIQ TC welcomes John Glaubitz of Vertex,Inc as a committee member

The CIQ TC is pleased to welcome Mr. John Glaubitz of Vertex, Inc as
a new TC member. Vertex, Inc is an OASIS member.

John is the Enterprise Information Architect for Vertex, Inc.

John and his group have been heavily involved in TIGERS which is a 
subcommittee of ASC X12 and have recently joined the UBL Technical 
Committee.  TIGERS had developed the EDI standard for tax information and are 
working to do the same with XML.  John and his group have also been working 
indirectly with many taxing jurisdictions including several state governments 
and the IRS.  Most of these are developing XML for tax filings, 
registrations, etc. and are looking for standards that they can take 
advantage of.  

John and his group will be starting their own Technical Committee under TaXML 
with OASIS that will focus specifically on the tax information requirements 
of the taxing jurisdictions, businesses, software vendors, etc.  In these 
efforts John's Group have been influential in identifying where and how 
existing standards could be used and what is available. 

They are very interested in the evolution of a tax related vocabulary and a 
solid integration with the general business domain including customer names 
and addresses.  John and his group are very impressed with the work our TC 
have done to date and hence, would very much like to join the discussion.
