Subject: Feedback from VISA International about CIQ
CIQ TC, FYI. Regards, Ram -----Original Message----- From: Roth, Janet [mailto:roth@visa.com] Sent: Tuesday, 18 November 2003 5:37 AM To: 'Ram Kumar' Subject: RE: xCIL Date schema Dear Ram, Thanks for the reply, it helps to know for sure :-) Unfortunately, I can't really tell you what I'm using it for. All I can say is the obvious, that I am using it to define a standardized format for the exchange of information between systems :-) One advantage of using these standards are that 1) you've already worked through all the issues - especially internationalization (e.g. with names and addresses) - certainly more thoroughly or knowledgably than I would be able to!, 2) it will presumably be maintained by OASIS as needed (such as publishing errata and so on), and 3) it's useable by anyone. When do you expect to fix the discrepancies? Have you considered keeping an online list of known discrepancies that people can refer to in between publications? my best regards, Janet Roth
