It has been pointed out [1] that the AtomPub bindings do not allow creation of a new unfiled document (createDocument et al. with no folderId).
A POST to the unfiled collection is for now only specified to be used for an existing document, to unfile it to one or all of its folders.
I propose that the spec allow a POST to the unfiled collection with an entry having no cmis:objectId, the semantics of which would be to create a new object in a similar manner than specified for POST in the folder children collection.
