DITA East report from Robin. Had about 30 folks in her session, talked a little about the SC and product support for specializations! Very positive feedback that she brought to management.

John: invite everyone to have a last, close look at everything before we submit to the TC.

Status:
John Accardi suggested adding section allowed in learningContentBody.

Overview - 1st draft. Identified 4 learning topics (Problems with unstructured learning content, Benefits of structured content for learning, Why DITA for learning?, Introducing the DITA for learning spec)

Scott - benefit of being able to use this same content directly in the spec (via conref), perhaps as part of the introduction!

John H. - suggest that short descriptions be added to these topics.

Learning Plan - status to be given by Wayne next week (hopefully)

DTDs and XSDs - need to make sure data element is available (for future customizations)
Robin to show to Jeff and Paul as well for additional feedback.

Metadata - short descriptions have been added to the wiki. John to incorporate into the dita topics for the spec.

Interactions - single choice interaction and allowing that to be specialized was generally supported.
data element - should always be available for additional specialization
lcSequencing - leave in, but make it optional. It's available for use, but if not used, the default processing could allow these to be shuffled in any order on output.

Reuben - what about navigation buttons/links about how to use the page that they are on. Some kind of element that lets you explain how something should be used online or other specific format (an assessment for example), that might want to be filtered out when you output to paper. 
Some kind of lcOptionalInstructions element? John H. - you might be able to use the ditaval or other conditional attributes to filter on. The question is if we want to formalize this more in an element.

AI: Reuben to send a proposal to the list.

lcInstructorNote is a specialized footnote that can be targeted for Instructors. Maybe it would make sense to add a domain-level element for lcNavigationNote?
