John H. using Wayne's examples as-is for the Learning Plan examples.

Wayne met with a representative from the Schools Interoperability Framework Association (SIFA). 

They are looking into better interoperability for learning content. She is looking for better 

continuity across lesson plans. Wayne will meet with her on November 1 to find out what problems 

they are running into and how we can help address these. SIFA has agreed to work on Core SCORM. 

ADL is working on a new version of SCORM, which will be complete in about 2 years. Tyde thinks 

there is, indeed, a huge opportunity for DITA here.

There are 7 different elements that Wayne has questions about (duplication across topic types):
lcLearnerPrereq - instead of in learning plan, it is in learningBase.

JH - All of these are covered (lcPlan...)

LearningPlan.dita is the top level file for a learning plan.

SIFA could provide some real-life examples to test with. Most all of the elements are optional, so 

everyone is comfortable with moving forward on this.

EVERYONE: Please plan to attend the DITA TC meeting on 10/30 to formally submit our draft 

specification to the TC. Will be discussed in TC on 11/6 or 11/13 depending on the TC agenda. 

Please plan to attend if possible to address any questions.

John Accardi - Overview sections should have all feedback incorporated at this point and looks 

good. It has been incorporated into the latest build.

JH - taking advantage of the map specialization now, too!

Perhaps should add a note to the interactivity sample to clarify what the display is.

Tyde: there are a limited number (8) of interactivities that are provided by SCORM.
What's missing is something to mark up the display characteristics (distractor, etc.)

SCORM treats content as a black box, but it does contain information about what kind of information 

can be reported. There is a huge hole for this now in SCORM, so if there is a way to marry this 

information in the content, it would be a huge win.

JH will send Tyde a zip of the spec to identify any gaps.

lomInteractivityLevel is missing example in the spec.
One of JA sample files is missing a required value in lomInteractivityType?

Scott to set up ballot on OASIS site by end of day Friday. Ballot should close prior to next week's 

meeting, and should be open to all folks on the SC roster. Ballot will have "yes", "yes with comments" and "no with comments".

The draft spec will be presented to the DITA TC on 10/30, and should incorporate any comments by then.
