Subject: RE: [docbook-tc] Fw: DocBook TC action item.
Parameter is also defined in mathematics as are variable and constant. That is why they were included. The definitions in DocBook would need to be appropriately extended. If semantic accuracy is the goal, it seemed appropriate to provide markup that applied that was already available. I don't feel strongly about this, I was just explaining why I took the approach I did. I don't see that belonging in mathphrase. When designing something simple to be used as a convenience at times in place of something more complex that is already available, it should be very simple. If someone can't accomplish the desired equation using just (#PCDATA|superscript|subscript|%ubiq)*, then they should use the existing equation markup. So I'd prefer mathphrase to be very simple. paul To unsubscribe from this mailing list (and be removed from the roster of the OASIS TC), go to http://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/docbook-tc/members/leave_wo rkgroup.php.
