My tests show that schema with s:ns and s:pattern now works in both MSV and oXygen. Topology Schematron Validator was unable to process even standalone (no embeded Schematron) DocBook RELAX NG schema, so there is no need to test schemas against this tool (which is quite obsolete now, last release is from 2002). I don't know any other validator that claims to be able to do validate against RELAX NG and embedded Schematron. Thus I think that we could (and should) release RELAX NG schema with Schematron rules inside.
