DOCBOOK: EBNF markup

In response to occasional user demand, the DocBook TC proposed to add
support for EBNF-style markup to DocBook. So far, the TC has seen no
user feedback to indicate if the design proposed is a good one or even
if the need still exists.

Has the proposed markup been used by anybody?
