Related to BPEL: • Business Process Extension Layers (BPXL) - Covering human collaboration, transactions, roll-back, mobility, etc. • Business Process Query Language (BPQL) - Providing the ability to query and report on the status of business process instances (incorporating appropriate security). 2. Related to BPMN: • Explore use of OMG BPDM to generate XML Schema for BPMN - (i) Allow transfer of BPMN models between tools. (ii) Facilitate path to execution of UML based models in BPMS or SOA environments. • Extend modeling practice and technology for higher-order business representations - (i) Specifically explore Capability Modelling. • BPMN to XPDL. • Assess ebXML requirements on BPMN. • Explore implications of Rules Management standards emerging out of OMG.
