Subject: [Fwd: [members] Members Discuss Proposed New Rules for OASIS ArtifactNaming]

Note, there are proposed artifact naming changes under discussion, that
affect many TCs including ebBP. If you have input to this, see the
email from Carol Geyer. Thanks.

OASIS Members:
A very productive dialogue on the proposed OASIS Artifact Standard Identification Scheme for Metadata (ASIS) is currently underway
on the oasis-member-discuss list. Members are advised to review the list archive and the ASIS proposal.

ASIS attempts to further the goals for consistent naming, persistent URIs, and the efficiency of data and document management across
OASIS. Developed by the OASIS Technical Advisory Board (TAB), ASIS defines rules for how OASIS artifacts (e.g. specifications,
schemas, WSDL) are named, the metadata that must be associated with each artifact, consistent filenames and persistent (and
consistent) URIs for artifacts, and updates to the OASIS URN spaces.

All OASIS members are encouraged to subscribe to the oasis-member-discuss list; however, members may post at any time without
subscribing. The list archives are publicly accessible.
