Subject: [Fwd: [P1619-3] Proposal to use Sun Microsystem's Open Source Agentfor P1619.3 Reference Implementation]
FYI. (Note that the announcement seems to indicate that only the client is open-source; nothing about the server). Arshad -------- Original Message -------- Subject: [P1619-3] Proposal to use Sun Microsystem's Open Source Agent for P1619.3 Reference Implementation Date: Tue, 10 Feb 2009 11:18:31 -0700 From: Matt Ball <matt.ball@ieee.org> Reply-To: Matt Ball <matt.ball@ieee.org> To: P1619-3@LISTSERV.IEEE.ORG Hi Folks, Just recently, Sun Microsystems delivered an open-source implementation of a key management client capable of communicating with a Sun Key Management Appliance (KMA). You can see more information at this link: Overview: http://opensolaris.org/os/project/kmsagenttoolkit/ Toolkit Download: http://opensolaris.org/os/project/kmsagenttoolkit/AgentToolkit.tar.bz2 Sun is interested in proposing this open source software as the reference implementation for the P1619.3 KM Client, and would like to work towards making both the standard and this reference implementation converge. You can find documentation in the Ultra2AgentToolkit-doc/html folder of the toolkit. This includes WSDL files. Walt, if there's room on the agenda, I'm hoping we can discuss this during tomorrow's P1619.3 meeting... :) -- Thanks! -Matt Matt Ball, Sun Microsystems IEEE P1619.x SISWG Chair Cell: 303-717-2717 http://www.mavaball.net/
