Subject: RE: [election-services] adding voting technology to EML...

Joe

I've added your request to our updates Wishes List for the next version of EML. You can see the list on the TC website under the EML Updates document folder. I want to get the approval of EML as an OASIS Standard out of the way first before we tackle this list otherwise it will get very complicated about what people are voting for. I'll explain more during the teleconference today, hope you will be joining us.

Joe,

What about using the audit / access control XML for this?

So rather than the EML410 / 440 - what about something around the EML460 /
480?

I'm a little bit nervous about using the 440 itself - since things like
disabled voting may compromise some voter privacy.

The 460 and 480 should be able to give you what you need in terms of the
overall source of the votes.
