Another item of possible remediation.

 

In looking at the EML 110 - I notice it does not include EMLcore - but it does have locally defined items that repeat the definitions in EMLcore.  Obviously this is sub-optimal from the maintenance view.

 

Specifically I was looking at PollingPlace and ReportingUnit - I'm sure there's more. 

 

This is quite a bit of xsd editing to fix up all that... : -(

 

Anyway - the reason I strayed into all this was to look for something that records status and results of balloting on election day itself.

 

I'm thinking we could add a structure of items <ResultsReported> to both pollingplace and reporting unit to track if results had been received, date/time of receipt, and status indicators and any associated notes/messages.
