At SWAG [1], we store all of the triples in a database (Oracle), and output them (as RDDL/XML RDF/N3) using a templating language on a TCL enabled server. But that's just us :-) Roy Fielding's note about URNs [2] might be some some interest, and the RDF data stores list [3].
