There is a lot to stomach being part of the HumanMarkup group, and
discussion requires many characteristics--intellect and experience are
simply two of these.

The most important personality trait needed for HumanMarkup is a tolerance
and willingness to endure the problems of human communication firsthand.
Before we formalize efforts on the 17th of September, let's keep in mind
this is the ONE prerequisite for being with the group.  Whether criticism is
taken personally or not, we must grow from everyone's words--our harshest
critics and our biggest fans.  We simply must keep learning and growing.

Not all of us have such a tolerance...especially during such an emotional
time period.  Additionally, there may be non-obvious issues involved...all
we do is respect the decisions made.
