Hi All

Having 'thrown the match onto the gasoline' regards the architecture discussion, I'll hold off making comments on Tom's interesting list for now until Anil has..

I think I've done enough damage for one day:-)

But picking up another strand from the call, around the approach to the use cases, would something like this (with much refinement) give us a basis to go forward?.

1). Collect Use Cases
2). Collate and determine problem areas 
3). Analyse IdM problem areas by potential 'treatments': policy and procedure, standards, architecture (as some starters..but noting that some problems seem to come back to authorization so we could be pushing the boundaries of the TC's scope there..)

4). Take a gap analysis approach a bit like this for each (but using Standards as an example)

5). Perform Gap analysis against known standards.
6). If there is not an applicable standard, mark the area for development.
7). If there is an applicable standard, is there an applicable profile of the standard?
8). If there is not an applicable profile of the standard, mark the area for development

Is this any use?

By all means say its rubbish if it is, and I'll desist from over-doing the cerebrals in the early morning..:-)
