Subject: JXDD report
Below is my report for this week's face-to-face meeting. I wish I could attend, but budget constraints prohibit it. At our JXDD meeting, last week, the current status of the justice Data Dictionary was discussed. That included several notable items. First, the XML Standard Task Force was elevated from a subcommittee under the Emerging Technologies Committee to reporting to the chair of the Infrastructure Standards Working Group. Additionally, a decision has been made selecting late September as a go/no-go decision period for releasing version 3.0.0.1 of the JXDD for initial operational development. This does not close off comments, but will place them into a more structured change process. Other conversations that took place included: -discussion of the need for a more encompassing court data dictionary (a subset of the JXDD) the goes beyond court filing -discussion of pilot projects -discussion of the need for additional reference documents as the data dictionary is cumbersome for many folks to step through because of its size, to determine their individual needs Attached is a set of slides from this month's meeting.
