Minutes: September 26 Springboard ECF Initiative Biweekly Meeting

 

1.       News updates

a.       Feedback provided to OASIS ECF TC at Sep. 20 meeting

                                                               i.      Additional feedback from the test harness team will be provided to the ECF TC leadership as it becomes available

b.      Test case and SCP development ongoing

2.       Walked through screen snapshots of the revised soapUI ECF project structure

a.       5 Projects: 1 Common (TBD) + 4 MDEs

b.      Many Test Suites within each Project, 1 pair for each of the 7 case types:

                                                               i.      1 SENDER for each arrow tail coming out of an MDE swim lane in the sequence diagram (Core Spec Figure 4)

                                                             ii.      1 RECEIVER for each arrow head going into an MDE swim lane in the sequence diagram

c.       Each ECF Conformance Class will correspond to a set of identified Test Suites

3.       Preview of ECF Service Conformance Package (SCP)

a.       Reviewed package, particularly the “ECF Service Conformance Specification” (master) document

4.       Test Harness: what participants can expect

a.       Reminders

                                                               i.      Participants will not be charged for utilizing the Springboard Test Harness during its testing period

                                                             ii.      But only one participant may use it at a time and availability may be sporadic

                                                            iii.      The core features are available in the open-source version of soapUI

                                                           iv.      The “Pro” version would be needed to run scripts, print reports, etc. (~$400 per annual license)

b.      Demo

                                                               i.      Once all the soapUI projects are ready to deploy, they’ll be made available to participants (to bootstrap soapUI implementations in their own test labs)

                                                             ii.      Contact Scott if interested in obtaining any particular test suites before then

5.       Future calls will continue to be held every other Thursday, 4:00 to 5:00pm Eastern (Oct. 10, Oct. 24, etc.).
