Minutes: October 24 Springboard ECF Initiative Biweekly Meeting

 

1.       News updates

a.       ECF 4.01 Errata 01 for minor changes

b.      New version of the WS SIP to be formatted as a GRA Service Specification Package

c.       Both documents will remain in draft form while Springboard testing is ongoing

d.      Initiative Team will support December 4 Joint Technology Committee Meeting: NACM, COSCA, NCSC

                                                               i.      Contact Jim Harris (jharris@ncsc.org) if interested in providing support

2.       Revised ECF Service Conformance Package (SCP)

a.       Screen snapshots from today’s call have not yet been incorporated into SCP

3.       Revised soapUI ECF test harness project structure: 2 areas will be created within the soapUI test harness

a.       One structure for the 4 required transactions… must pass all tests (GREEN) to claim conformance to a particular MDE / Case Type pair)

                                                               i.      ReviewFiling

                                                             ii.      RecordFiling

                                                            iii.      NotifyDocketingComplete

                                                           iv.      NotifyReviewFilingComplete

b.      The other soapUI structure will be for the other 9 optional transaction and all other options within the ECF specification (MAY and SHALL)

                                                               i.      When a participant runs this test suite, it may fail some tests (RED) yet still be able to claim conformance against any passed tests (GREEN)

4.       Test harness reminders: what participants can expect

a.       Participants will not be charged for utilizing the Springboard Test Harness during its testing period

b.      But only one participant may use it at a time and availability may be sporadic

c.       The core features are available in the open-source version of soapUI

d.      The “Pro” version would be needed to run scripts, print reports, etc. (~$400 per annual license)

e.      Once all the soapUI projects are ready to deploy, they’ll be made available to participants (to bootstrap soapUI implementations in their own test labs)

f.        Contact Scott if interested in obtaining any particular test suites before then

5.       Future calls will continue to be held every other Thursday, 4:00 to 5:00pm Eastern (Nov 7, Nov 21, etc.).
