OASIS News is published twice a month. ------------------- BOARD ANNOUNCEMENTS ------------------- Patrick Gannon Named Interim CEO Effective 15 August, Laura Walker will resign as Executive Director of OASIS. At the Board's request, Patrick Gannon will serve as interim CEO for the Consortium, and a search committee will be formed to select and retain a permanent CEO. The Board, staff and membership of OASIS expresses thanks to Laura for her accomplishments and wishes for much success in her future endeavors. Patrick can be reached at patrick.gannon@oasis-open.org. ---------------------- OASIS TC ANNOUNCEMENTS ---------------------- OASIS DocBook TC announced that The Definitive Guide released under the GNU FDL DocBook: TDG, published by O'Reilly & Associates, will soon be released under the GNU Free Documentation License. This will allow DocBook users worldwide to update, translate and reuse the official reference documentation for DocBook. http://www.oasis-open.org/docbook/ OASIS eXtensible Access Control Markup Language TC will convene via teleconference on 23 August to cover policy models. OTA specs recommend the ebXML messaging structure as a reference envelope layer. OAGI is currently believed to have the largest installed based of any XML-based set of business messages. The Korea ebXML Central Registry & Repository (www.ebxml.or.kr/registry/index.html) incorporates ebXML Registry Information Model and Registry Services specs as well as other ebXML specs in its architecture.
