Welcome to OASIS News, a publication for the OASIS membership community
providing updates on Consortium announcements, accomplishments and
activities. OASIS News is published twice a month.

TC ANNOUNCEMENTS AND MEETINGS
-----------------------------

OASIS Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) TC has published a new
set of working drafts of its SAML 1.0 specification set.  The TC is
actively seeking public comments on these drafts.

OASIS issued an open invitation for public input on the creation of its
XSLT/XPath Conformance Test Suite. Formal submissions from both
IBM/Lotus and Microsoft have already been received by the OASIS XSLT
Technical Committee.

OASIS members are encouraged to review three TC-approved specs for
voting on OASIS Standards in April. Comments on the specs may be posted
to each TC’s public comment list. Balloting will take place 1-30 April.
Each OASIS organizational member has one vote, and results will be
announced on or before 7 May.

meeting via teleconference 14 Jan 4PM (US EST) and its next F2F meeting
23-24 Jan.

OASIS Conformance TC will hold its next meeting via teleconference 15
Feb 10AM (US EST).

OASIS DocBook TC published its second beta release of Simplified DocBook
subset.

OASIS ebXML Collaboration Protocol Profile and Agreement TC will hold
its next F2F 28-30 Jan at Commerce One, San Francisco.

OASIS ebXML Messaging Services TC final revisions to the proposed next
version of the Message Service Specification are complete. Formal
approval is scheduled 18 Jan 12AM (US PST).

OASIS Topic Maps Published Subjects TC released "Requirements for
Documentation of Published Subjects" (Draft for review) and
"Recommendations for Documentation of Published Subjects" (Draft
proposal).  The next meeting will be held via teleconference 29 Jan
16.00-18.00 UTC and its next F2F meeting 14 Mar at Seattle Knowledge
Technologies 2002.
