[OASIS members] OASIS Board of Director Elections now Open

Members,

All organizational members now have a very important responsibility before you. There are 15 Board of Directors nominees available for your consideration and vote. The four candidates with the greatest number of votes will join the four continuing Board members. Balloting is available now, and ends at midnight EDT 30 June.

The Board members you select will provide our consortium the guidance and leadership as OASIS continues to evolve as a global leader. I ask that you give each candidate careful consideration and select the candidates who will best represent your views of the future of our consortium. Unlike our Technical Committee balloting, governance ballots, such as the BoD election, are not public ballots.

You are encouraged to post questions to board-candidates@lists.oasis-open.org and review the candidates’ archived responses at http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/board-candidates/ This process allows you to have all candidates know what issues are important for you and for all members to know the candidates views on the posted questions.

If you are not the voting representative for your organization, see list at www.oasis-open.org/members/ballot_list.shtml ,make certain your representative has your input prior to voting. The voting representative will receive the URL for the ballot in a separate email. Any questions or comments about the voting rep list should be directed to scott.mcgrath@oasis-open.org

We are very excited about the prospect of having 15 highly qualified candidates to choose from and the democratic process that allows you to select your future leaders. We look forward to your prompt vote. Remember, voting end at midnight EDT 30 June. Results will be released shortly thereafter, once certification of the ballots and tabulation is completed.
