[OASIS members] Press Release to Announce XACML as OASIS Open Standard

OASIS Members:

The Consortium is in the process of drafting a press release to announce
XACML as an OASIS Open Standard. We have targeted Tuesday, 18 February,
for distribution.

While OASIS deeply appreciates the contributions of all members to our
technical work, we have a policy to list only Sponsor member companies
in announcements directed to the press. The higher Sponsor member dues
underwrite the cost of promotional activities such as press releases.

The "XACML Becomes OASIS Open Standard" press release, therefore, will
include the following statement:

"XACML was developed by Entrust, IBM, OpenNetworks, Quadrasis, Sterling
Commerce, Sun Microsystems, and other members of the OASIS Extensible
Access Control Markup Language Technical Committee."

If you represent a company listed above, please notify me only if you do
NOT wish to have your company name featured. If you would like to send a
quote on behalf of your company in support of XACML, please email that
to me, including a name and title at your company to whom the quote can
be attributed.

If you are a Sponsor member of OASIS, but not active in this TC, and you
would like to submit a company quote in support of XACML, please email
your quote to me, including a name and title at your company to whom the
quote can be attributed.

If your company was represented on the OASIS XACML TC but is not a
Sponsor member, and you would like to be featured in the press release,
please contact Scott McGrath (scott.mcgrath@oasis-open.org) immediately
for information on upgrading your membership to take advantage of this
promotional benefit.
