OASIS Board of Directors Nominations Close Midnight, Tuesday, 27 May

All OASIS Sponsors and Contributors are invited to nominate a candidate
for the Consortium's Board of Directors. The OASIS Board is comprised of
eight directors, each serving two-year terms. Balloting begins 30 May.

OASIS Web Services for Remote Portals (WSRP) TC Clarifies Charter

The OASIS WSRP TC has approved a revised charter to better define its
goal of creating an XML and Web services standard that allows the
plug-n-play of portals, other intermediary Web applications that
aggregate content, and applications from disparate sources.

Delphi Study on Open Standards Closes Friday, 30 May!

The Delphi Group is conducting a research study on the role of open
standards on the development of software. OASIS members who participate
in this study will gain immediate access to Delphi's 2003 Economic
Survey Report in exchange for 10 minutes of time to complete an online
survey. Participants will also receive a copy of the final report.
Survey answers remain confidential.

XML 2003 Call for Presentations Due 2 June

IDEAlliance announces a Call for Presentations, Tutorials, Exhibits, and
Sponsors for XML 2003, which will be held in Philadelphia, PA, USA on
7-12 December. XML 2003 will concentrate on the best practices of using
XML, and presentations on OASIS Open Standards and specifications are
welcome.

ebXML Applications Demonstrated in London

XML Europe 2003 showcased two days of ebXML demonstrations and
presentations that tackled demanding real-life business needs, to an
overflow audience each day. Highlighting the event, a group of five
technology companies--XT-I, Seeburger AG, Sun Microsystems, Sonic
Software, TIE International--representing the e-Business Board for
European Standardization, in association with OASIS, demonstrated ebXML
messaging using business cases supplied by the European steel industry e
marketplace, Steel24-7.

OASIS Team Talks

3 June--Patrick Gannon is the featured speaker at 'OASIS Day in Korea,'
Seoul.

3-5 June--Pim van der Eijk will make a presentation at the 'Web Services
and Integration' conference, London.

4-5 June--Patrick Gannon will make an eBusiness standards presentation
at 'eEnterprise Tokyo 2003,' Tokyo.

5-6 June--John Borras, chair of OASIS e-Government TC and Election and
Voter Services TC, will participate in the 'ITU Workshop on challenges,
perspectives and standardization issues in E-Government' in Geneva.

16-18 June--Patrick Gannon will present "Achieving Sustainable Business
Benefits with WS Standards" at EEMA 2003, Prague.

30 June-1 July--Patrick Gannon will be a keynote speaker at Delphi's
'Executive Retreat on Building an Agile Enterprise' conference, San
Francisco.
