Subject: [ODF metadata] Embedding IP/license information possible?
Hello Chapters 2.x in the OpenDocument Metadata Use Cases and Requirements Document at http://www.oasis-open.org/committees/download.php/20492/UCR.odt describe several use cases for metadata in ODF. One important one is missing, I think: The possibility to include IP/license information into a document. Use case: A user wants to license his own document and add license information somewhere as meta information (e.g., using CreativeCommons licenses), is that possible? Quote from a discussion in OO.org's bug-tracker: "Creative Commons is an important way of adding IP licensing information to a document's metadata. Of course, it should be integral to an overall IP metadata format for OOo documents. A copyright notice, licensing information, and digital signatures are critical."
