Subject: Today's public comment review
Dear TC members, because we currently have many items on the agenda, I thought it may be reasonable to draft a few suggestion for resolving the next set of public comments, which may allow us to save some time in the discussion: #7: Suggestion: Add a paragraph to the "styles" chapter that explains in more depth how inheritance of styles does work. #8: resolved in ODF 1.1 #9: This proposal seems to be addressed by the new meta data features #10: Suggestion: Clarify in the section that lists the namespaces that the prefixes that are used in the specification are only examples for namespaces prefixes. Applications may use others. #11: resolved on ODF 1.0 2nd edition. The the ODF 1.0 specification was published in PDF and the OpenOffice.org XML file format (SXW), where the later contained a doctype declaration. For ODF 1.0 2nd edition, the SXW version was replaced by an ODF version. #12: resolved in ODF 1.0 2nd edition #13: Unless otherwise stated, the XSD datatypes are meant. The reference to the XSD datatype definition has been updated in ODF 1.1. #14: resolved in ODF 1.1 #15: ? #16: ODF has no other requirements regarding byte order marks than XML 1.0. A clarification seems not to be required.
