Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] Commented: (OIC-17) tool for creating aninventory of existing test cases
[ http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/OIC-17?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=15671#action_15671 ] Dennis Hamilton commented on OIC-17: ------------------------------------ NEEDS DISCUSSION: I agree this is valuable. I think that the test cases can reference the appropriate sections of the specifications along with their test assertions. One function of the Specification Analysis on the wiki is to provide a way to connect back from extracts of the specification to the test cases (or at least the test assertions). It looks like there might need to be a three-way join. It seems to be derivable with a simple relational database among test cases, test assertions, and specification sections. Initially, we could probably populate a database manually, and develop ways of extracting and populating the database from the test-information markup as we have more experience. > tool for creating an inventory of existing test cases > ----------------------------------------------------- > > Key: OIC-17 > URL: http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/OIC-17 > Project: OASIS Open Document Format Interoperability and Conformance (OIC) TC > Issue Type: Improvement > Components: ConformanceAssessmentMethod > Affects Versions: Working Draft > Reporter: Mingfei Jia > Assignee: Bart Hanssens > > First step, we need to start from creating conformance test suite. I understand conformance test suite should cover the whole specification, and we should try to avoid duplicate or intersect the same feature in the specification. So we need to provide a tools or means that are indexing the existed test cases so that TC members are easy to search if some test cases already exist. I do not if SVN can do such things. -- This message is automatically generated by JIRA. - If you think it was sent incorrectly contact one of the administrators: http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/secure/Administrators.jspa - For more information on JIRA, see: http://www.atlassian.com/software/jira
