Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] Created: (OIC-80) State of InteroperabilityCD04-rev01 proof-reading

State of Interoperability CD04-rev01 proof-reading
--------------------------------------------------

                 Key: OIC-80
                 URL: http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/OIC-80
Project: OASIS Open Document Format Interoperability and Conformance (OIC) TC
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: StateOfInteroperability
    Affects Versions: Working Draft
Environment: These comments apply to StateOfInterop-v1.0-cd04-rev01.odt
            Reporter: Dennis Hamilton
            Assignee: Robert Weir
            Priority: Minor
             Fix For: Committee Draft

I like this document very much. I am including a series of defects in one issue for possible repair following the Public Review. I expect that these will be minor and not require an additional public review.

1. Introduction, 2nd paragraph: my spell checker wants "implementers" in place of "implementors."

1. Introduction, 2nd paragraph: last line, "conform to the" not "conform the"

General: We are using ODF throughout and some of the names of Conformance Targets of ODF 1.2 do not completely line up, now that OpenDocument is being used instead of ODF. (I think it is fine to define ODF in the introduction and be done with it. After all, OASIS trade-marked both terms.)

2.1 final paragraph "cheap and effective" might not be the correct expression. "inexpensive" maybe, but perhaps it is more about being widely available and effective?

2.2 1st paragraph. think 'interoperability is "the ... ' (not "The ...)

3.1 scenario step 1, Authoring" "expresses his intentions" not "express his intentions" (and bonus points for a smooth rewording that avoids gender).

3.1 scenario step 4, Decoding: "user then uses their"?
