OpenC2 TC Members:Â At the 18 September meeting, the TC approved creation of a new TC Open Repository to hold code developed by the University of Oslo that translates between OpenC2 and Cisco IOS formats for managing access control lists (ACLs). The original motion proposed naming this repository "openc2-iosacl-proxy" and was approved without objection at the daytime session. An objection was raised at the evening session that the term "proxy" was inappropriate due to that term having a well-understood meaning in the information security community.Â
There are several existing TC Open Repos that use the term "Lycan" in their name to suggest transformation. After some consideration and consultation with the authors of the code and the TC and SC co-chairs, we are proposing a different name for the new repository:
openc2-lycan-iosacl
I will allow TC members until COB Monday 30 September to raise any objections to this change of name. If no objections are received, i will submit the request for the new open repository on Tuesday, 1 October.
