Subject: Re: Name Change for New TC Open Repo
> There are several existing TC Open Repos that use the term "Lycan" in their name to suggest transformation. The word "Lycan" is derived from the word "lycanthrope," meaning someone who suffers from lycanthropy; "the professed ability or power of a human being to transform into a wolf, or to gain wolf-like characteristics." While referencing pop culture may signal that even computer security geeks have a sense of humor, I'd prefer that future repository names more clearly indicate their purpose. The word "proxy" has a technical meaning; the proposed repo should as well. Because the code translates from OpenC2 to native Cisco IOS, I'd suggest something like: openc2-iosacl-translator openc2-iosacl-adapter openc2-iosacl-shim My personal preference is for "adapter", but any technically descriptive term would be fine.
