1. Call to order
- Paul volunteered to take minutes
- Minutes of July 30th Meeting were approved
2. Status Report and Discussion on Use Cases
Tony: Daniella, you added some use cases, can you go through the use cases that you had put on the wiki?
Daniella: I added three use cases. The first was reputation as a means of filtering content on the web. Consumers of content can decide to filter content based on metadata (including reputation) associated with the content. It is important to include semantics with the metadata. As soon as a paper I’m working is completed, I will include some more information.
- Daniella agreed to add any public information available related to this first use case to the wiki
Daniella: The other two use cases are related to virtual worlds. These are not really reputations within one world. The first is related to avatars in a virtual world—bringing reputation from one node to another on the SL grid. The second is related to the reputation of the node itself within the overall grid.
- It was agreed that we should start documenting the use cases using the OASIS template. Peter agreed to work on this Mani agreed to help out.
- Peter agreed that at the next telecon (in two weeks) he would have an outline of the use cases document and that at telecon in four weeks an initial draft to review.
3. Other Business
- It was agreed that we would hold a F2F meeting at IIW in MountainView in November.
- It was agreed that Giles would do the talk at the OASIS Symposium in London this year as per his email to the list.
4. Adjournment
