Howard,

I cannot find the "Overview and FAQs" document on the OASIS website. The following remarks assume that it is at least similar the FAQ document which we reviewed recently and that Karen Rice is commenting on the wording of FAQ 1.

In developing PLCS we have consistently tried to scope our actions on a community that is not restricted to the defence industry. "Industry and defen(s)e" does not do this. Perhaps the question is whether just using the word "industry" does adequately describe the PLCS user community? I suggest we remove the words " for use by industry" Thus the answer to FAQ 1 would read:

"The purpose of the OASIS Product Life Cycle Support (PLCS) Technical Committee (TC) is to establish structured data exchange and sharing capabilities to support complex assets throughout their complete life cycle, i.e. from concept to disposal.
