Paul, XML Events[1] does not involve Web Services (although it could be applied indirectly to Web Services) - rather, it is at a much "lower" level in that it enables integration of event listeners and associated event handlers with DOM Level 2 event interfaces[2]. Hope that helps. Joe [1] http://www.w3.org/TR/xml-events/ [2] http://www.w3.org/TR/2000/REC-DOM-Level-2-Events-20001113 "MACIAS, Paul" wrote: > > Pardon my naiveté on this subject. However, I was wondering if someone could help distinguish what, if any, relationship might exist between the ebXML Registry Events, or WS-Eventing, to the W3C Recommendation XML Events passed last fall? http://www.w3.org/TR/2003/REC-xml-events-20031014/ > > Thanks in advance for any assistance here. > > -Paul > > -----Original Message----- > From: Farrukh Najmi [mailto:Farrukh.Najmi@Sun.COM] > Sent: Tuesday, January 13, 2004 9:15 AM > To: Rex Brooks > Cc: regrep@lists.oasis-open.org > Subject: Re: [regrep] Fwd: Re: [emergency] BEA, Microsoft, and Tibco > Release WS-Eventing Specification > > Rex Brooks wrote: > > > Excuse the non-sequitur post, but I wondered if anyone on this list > > might be interested in this development? > > Hi Rex, > > As you probably know that ebXML Registry has had a Content-based Event > Subscription and Notification feature since version 2.5. > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------ > Name: winmail.dat > winmail.dat Type: application/ms-tnef > Encoding: base64 > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------ > To unsubscribe from this mailing list (and be removed from the roster of the OASIS TC), go to http://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/regrep/members/leave_workgroup.php.
