The most that RLTC can say is that it currently has a TC that is building on one particular rights language, XrML 2.1. It *cannot* say, for example, that it is a standard, only that it has a TC that hopes to create one...

 

[rga] It is perhaps worth remembering, again, that XrML2 is well on the way within in MPEG to becoming an ISO standard, all on its own. Indeed, absent timely action and progress by our committee, this is clearly what will happen. Such a result would cause me, at least, to seriously wonder as to why any subsequent output of our own TC would in any way be interesting or relevant.
