Subject: RE: [sdd] 2.1.1.6
John has done some extensive rewording which he sent to us
in a separate note. I'm going to start pulling those requirements out one at a
time for discussion. Please try to respond - even just to say you agree.
Starting with 2.1.1.6. Here's John's
suggested rewrite:
Option 1) 2.1.1.6 The SDD
specification must support the ability for the author to define the requirements
that must be met for a provisioning application or installation program to
rollback or undo a deployment lifecycle operation. The SDD specification must
support the ability for the author to define information needed for a
provisioning application or installation program to rollback or undo a
deployment lifecycle operation.
Here's my
additional wordsmithing based both on our discussion about phrasing and just my
own idea of what makes a sentence understandable. I believe that this stays true
to the meaning of John's rewrite.
Option 2) 2.1.1.6 The SDD specification must support definition of
information required by a provisioning application or installation program to
perform rollback and undo lifecycle operations. This includes information about
requirements that must be met prior to performing these
operations.
Please vote for option 1 or
option 2, or propose an alternative along with providing your reasons for
suggesting an alternative.
