Disclaimer: I was personally involved in the development of this document. -- Dr Francis McCabe The document named W3C Web Services Architecture (www.w3.org/TR/2004/NOTE-ws-arch-20040211/) has been submitted by Dr Francis McCabe to the OASIS SOA Reference Model TC document repository. Document Description: This document is a link to http://www.w3.org/TR/2004/NOTE-ws-arch-20040211/ This architecture was defined by the W3C Web Services Architecture group. It is perhaps slightly more concrete than the reference model envisaged. However, it is useful for several reasons: 1. it addresses many of the requirements of Service Oriented Architecures, it attempts to define concepts such as services etc., together with relationships between them. 2. it serves as a model for how an architecture, including a reference model, might be organized. Of particular note are the overview, the concepts and relationships sections, the stakeholders sections.
