Subject: RE: [soa-rm] resolution for 513
Facets is too loaded a term and used in a very specific manner
in much
information modelling, and is not what we are trying to convey here,
which
are complete "things" rather than facets of them...
If not
"items", then:
- ideas?
- constructs? (too concrete? but then we want it
to be less abstract here,
as you say yourself, Ken)
- issues (a bit
woolly)
...?

Peter,
I didn't like "items" but thought the stuff in
Figure 1 were more concrete
than concepts and we refer to concepts a lot, so
I didn't want to confuse
things.
Bottom line: replace items but not
sure with what.

Peter,
Nice wording but now
your last sentence seems to contradict. May
I
suggest
Being abstract,
the Reference Model does not specify particular
standards
to
be used but in Figure 1 (line
61) we do illustrate the
relationship
of
standards to
the Reference Model and other related
items.

Standards

the Reference Model to provide
the vocabulary and common

SOA that makes
that possible. Nonetheless, we do illustrate
the
relationship

Figure 1 (line 61)"

Doesn't your second
sentence contradict your first
sentence?
I don't see your
mail re: the concept maps. Did you send it to
the
list?
